Wow i was not expecting this place to blow me away. I went there during my short miami trip since i was staying near by. I saw they had uber eats too but the reviews is what caught my eye. The reviews were pretty great. So i decided to give it a try. I was kinda cautious cause it was on uber eats due to "quality" standard i guess. When i first got there. There wasnt many tables being served, not at least not yet. I was there by myself and wanted to try their food thats the hyped on these reviews. I was brought plantain chips to start without even asking. Warm and crispy. Kinda bland without seasoning or salt. Its not even sweet and i think its because its not suppose to i guess. My inexperience self with their kinda food. Im also really extra and indecisive af. The manager helped me out on what to pick/ eat. I ended getting different things that im not used to. To start the shrimp empanadas and cod/fish empanadas. Wow what a different world that taste is compared to your usual beef, chicken, and cheese ahaha. The shrimp was average like around 5.67/10 the cod/fish one isnt my fave. Kinda a weird taste or im just not use to it at all. That was to start off and got the monday special ox tail stew. This is what really got me and blew me away. The oxtail meat was so tender and fall off the bone. Also that sauce/stew that came with it really hit the spot. Theres no word to really describe it. It was soooo good and out of things world and im craving it right now as i write this review. Its something you just got to try. I got it with 2 sides. Rice n beans also the sweet plantan. All i got to really say about this place is try that oxtail! Even if it sounds really weird or youre not used to hearing meats like that. Its a must try.
What a gem this place is. In a city like Miami saturated with Cuban restaurants and cafeterias, lots of them although mediocre, truly overrated due to their somewhat famous name. Well I'm a Cuban born and raised until my late teens so not only do I know good Cuban food, I am also a fan. I love that stuff. La Rosa Restaurant took me by surprise and ever since I tried it I was in love first, then totally hooked later once I found they deliver to my house. I literally ordered every day for a week to try their weekly specials which are to die for. Everything from their "carne con papas", to their "rabo encendido" and other Cuban cuisine classics are executed flawlessly. Portions are huge and you can actually go and have a sit down lunch or dinner in a good restaurant setting, with tastefully set tables with linens and glassware. There is plenty of parking since the restaurant is in a stand alone building with surrounding parking all their own. Service is equally good. I cannot stress it enough, GO and be surprised like me. You'll love it!
The food was very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and we liked the atmosphere. They are clean, well stocked, and have all the perks. Hard to do it better! The service was good, the wait time for the food is a little long but expected for everything to be freshly made. The prices are just a little high, other than that nothing.
